Measure Twice Cut Once - SteveZ DesignZ

Measure Twice Cut Once

Measure Twice Cut Once – There’s an old saying when it comes to woodworking or building a house … “measure twice cut once.” That saying applies to graphic design as well. #measuretwice #cutonce #measuretwicecutonce #graphicdesign

Measure Twice Cut Once

That saying is true because, it’s best to double check your size before you make your cut.

In woodworking and house building if you measure incorrectly, too short, you cannot add on you have to start all over again.

Unlike with sewing, depending on what you’re making, you might be able to add back on, doing a patchwork similar to quilting.

In graphic design, when in the bindery department, you have to cut what was printed. If you cut it too short, you can’t go back. It must be reprinted.

Do you measure twice?
